Birtenshaw School expansion approved

Planning permission has been granted for the expansion of Birtenshaw School in Bromley Cross to provide enhanced teaching space and facilities for children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities.

The proposal, designed by OMI, will provide classroom spaces for 40 school children and 40 in an early years nursery. The scheme includes a 20m hydrotherapy pool, 10 classrooms and rebound therapy room.

SK provided transport planning and highway design advice, including the preparation of the Transport Statement and Travel Plan for the planning application.
