Capital & Centric’s Weir Mill

SK was appointed by Capital & Centric to provide advice on the £60m redevelopment of Weir Mill in Stockport. SK has provided advice on the suitability of the site for car-free living and assembled the transport assessment documents required for an imminent planning application.

The scheme will create 253 apartments and over 2,000sqm of commercial space which could be used for bar and restaurant space. The public realm scheme has been designed to place people at its heart to allow active and sustainable movements across and from the site. The space has also been designed to open up space to the waterside and to create an outdoor riverside venue for street markets and live music events. It certainly hits the spot!
