Fallowfield Student Village gets the go ahead

Plans to redevelop the University of Manchester’s student accommodation at Owens Park have been granted planning permission. The scheme will see the demolition of over 2,000 residences and new accommodation for 3,000 students delivered on the site. When complete Fallowfield Student Village will house nearly 4,500 students. The proposal includes significant enhancements to student facilities, including an exciting new central hub.

SK Transport Planning advised on the transport impact of the proposal and developed new strategies to promote better access for all, improved servicing arrangements and to allow a significant reduction in car parking on the site. We also produced all of the transport documents for the planning submission. Neat.
