Solihull Office Development

SK was appointed by Solihull Council to prepare the planning application documents for the development of 13,000sqm of B1 office space on a key gateway site in Solihull town centre. The vision is to optimise the potential development of a prime site to provide a landmark building.

SK undertook parking surveys to support a reduction in parking on the site and advised on measures to be adopted to support sustainable movements. The site is located off a strategic and large signalised junction, and SK used standard appraisal methods to show that the proposal would not have a severe impact on highway operation. SK also prepared a brief for the Council to use to assess the proposal in the Local Plan VISSIM model.

SK prepared the Transport Assessment and Travel Plan for the planning application. The planning application has just been recommended for approval and will shortly be going to committee.
