Planning approval for the UCLan Student Centre

Planning permission has been granted for a new student centre, civic square and highway improvement scheme as part of UCLan’s £200m masterplan.

The scheme, designed by Hawkins\Brown, provides a new reception area informal learning spaces and student wellbeing support centre. At the front of the centre there will be a 90,000sqft public square. The reconfiguration of the Adelphi Roundabout is required to facilitate the project.

SK provided transport planning and highway design advice, including the preparation of the Transport Assessment and Travel Plan for the planning application.

This is the second commission undertaken by SK as for UCLan to bring forward their campus masterplan. The first being the Engineering Innovation Centre – go here for further information.
