NEWS:

Salford’s Big One!

One Heritage Tower in Greengate has been granted planning consent. At 55 storeys the development will not only be the tallest building in Salford but it will be taller than Beetham Tower, making it the second biggest block in Greater Manchester after Renaker’s Deansgate Square (another SK scheme).

The development will provide 545 dwellings and numerous amenities including work space, a cinema, gym, yoga studio, library and pavilion with BBQ area. The site is located adjacent to the River Irwell and the proposals include a scenic river walkway and an access and public realm strategy that supports sustainable movements around the area.

SK provided transport planning and highway design advice for the planning application, including the preparation of a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan. Planning consent was granted in January 2020.

SK is very active in the Greengate area and is currently advising on Renaker’s 1,500 dwelling scheme and Salboy’s 115 dwelling Queen Street scheme, both of which have been submitted for planning.
